Bonding, or bonded restoration, is the process of applying a composite resin to part of a tooth to improve the appearance of chipped, damaged, mismatched, or cracked teeth.

Can dental bonding improve my smile?

Dental bonding can be used to:

  • Repair a cracked or chipped tooth
  • Create even spacing between teeth
  • Fix discolouration on a tooth
  • Change the shape of a tooth

What is the procedure for dental bonding?

The composite resin (matched in colour to the adjacent teeth) is applied in layers to the tooth. Each layer is hardened with a special light. The dentist shapes the final layer to form the tooth.

The procedure takes between 30-60 minutes per tooth to complete
