What's New At Orangeville Dental Centre?
After 22 years of greeting you to our office, we bid a bittersweet farewell to Marie. Marie has moved to St. Catherines. We wish her all the best!
Sara and her husband look forward to greeting their baby due in July!
Connie and her family have moved to Cambridge. Connie is staying with the practice, and looks forward to continuing to see her clients.
We welcome Renee and Rhonda back from maternity leave.
Just Another Way We Improve Our Service
Dr. Kokonas is pleased to offer the service of custom shading to you. We want to offer you the highest quality of dentistry, and this is one way we do that.
Teeth have a variety of shapes and colors. In one person’s mouth, there can be a variety of shade....even on one tooth. When we fabricate crown, veneer, or bridge for you, we choose the predominant shade of your tooth. Then we take digital photos to send to the lab. Sometimes even though we do this, the colour isn’t 100%.
With custom shading, we bring the lab to you. Rudy, a registered lab technician comes to our office ensures the fit and colour of your restoration. We can then adjust the restoration according to need and to your preferences. Rudy then bakes and seals the crown so it can be inserted the same day, requiring no additional visits for you.
A note from Dr. Kokonas:
As most of you know, I had to take a few months off this summer due to illness. I will be working part time into the new year, as I make a full recovery. I would like to thank all of you for your kind words, and patience.

Dental Implants: Dr Kokonas Invited to Germany for VIP Tour and Training
April 2007: Dr Kokonas and Dr Ken Serota were invited to attend the VIP tour and training of the Friadent/Densply Tulsa Dental Ankylos Implant Facility in Frankfurt and Hanau Germany. The Doctors will be working together to educate patients and other dentists on the Ankylos system as it correlates with the endo/implant algorithm.
Digital Radiography 2008
We are very excited to announce that Orangeville Dental Centre is now digital!!!
Computerized digital radiographs take instant and extremely low radiation x-rays or images less than 90% radiation than conventional films. They use no film or chemical to process. This is great news for us and the environment!
The image of the digital radiograph is projected in a matter of seconds onto a computer monitor for immediate dicussion, assesment, education and treatment planning. There is no longer any wasted time on processing, retakes and mounting. Thus, our team spends less time in the dark room and more time with you discusasing the health of your teeth.
